Vitax has swung into action to support this year’s GIMA Charity Golf Day, helping to raise vital funds for Greenfingers.
Joining almost 100 keen golfers from across the garden industry, Vitax not only teed up for an eventful day on the course, but also sponsored GIMA’s ‘Yellow Ball Challenge’ - a new initiative for 2025.
Hosted at Belton Woods Golf, Spa and Hotel in Grantham, the event brought together 23 teams of suppliers, retailers and colleagues for a lively day of competition — all united by a shared commitment to giving back.
The friendly competition heated up as the teams battled it out to become GIMA’s Golf Champions. Pureprint Imprint won the coveted title, with Smart Garden 2 just a birdie behind and Woodlodge 2 taking third place.
Mark Butler, national sales manager for Vitax, says: “The GIMA Golf Day is a fantastic initiative. Not only does it bring everyone from across the industry together for some friendly competition but raises essential funds for Greenfingers.
“As one of this year’s sponsors, it was great to see everyone taking part in a range of fundraising activities from ‘Nearest the Pin’ to ‘Beat the Pro’. Congratulations to Team GIMA who won the Yellow Ball Challenge.
“Unfortunately for our team, we were a little under par on the day, but still had a great time!”
Greenfingers is dedicated to creating magical gardens in children’s hospices across the UK and is Vitax’s charity partner for 2025.
